A week of traffic checks for the documents of motor vehicles is carried out by the Police, from tomorrow, Sunday, October 03, until Sunday, October 10.
Along with the traffic control checks, which are carried out daily to prevent road collisions, the members of the Police will place particular emphasis on the checks for possession of a vehicle suitability certificate – MTO, as well as the registration of vehicles.
It is worth noting that the registration certificate of vehicles is interwoven with their certificate of conformity, since the registration certificate of vehicles whose certificate of fitness has expired, is considered to have been suspended, until the issue of a certificate of suitability.
With fitness for road use of vehicles being an essential element for road safety, the police check week aims to prevent road collisions and increase safety on the road network.
