It is a fact, the Nicosia Marathon will take place again in the capital. Organized this year by the Athanasios Ktorides Foundation, the great marathon of the capital will be held on December 12th in the heart of Nicosia in order to showcase its important attractions, such as the Municipal Theatre, the Archaeological Museum, Eleftherias Square, the Ancient Aqueduct, the Famagusta Gate and the Venetian Walls among others. "The Nicosia Marathon, as an idea, was not born in a conference room, but among friends who shared their way and all together the same path, the same passion for great endurance and the same love for their city, Nicosia," Nasos Ktorides, President of the Athanasios Ktorides Foundation, told a press conference. "The capital is becoming a trumpeter of the messages of the ancient marathon runners and a standard-bearer of the cultural culture of its glorious history," he added. At the same time, on the occasion of the marathon, a cultural week is organized, which will precede the Marathon. Read more:
