On the Nicosia-Limassol highway, from Saturday, September 18, 2021 and for a period of about three (3) months, at the Kornos Junction, construction works will be carried out on the new Kornos exit on the highway, in the direction of Limassol. During the works, the left lane, after the exit of Kornos on the highway, in the direction of Limassol, will be closed for 400m. about and the traffic to Limassol will be diverted to the right lane. On the Nicosia-Limassol highway, from Wednesday, April 14, 2021, improvement works will be carried out at the Kornos junction. The works will last 15 months and concern on the one hand the improvement of the existing branches of the junction on the west side of the highway, for entering the highway from Korno / Pyrga to Nicosia and for exit from Limassol to Korno / Pyrga, and on the other hand the creation of a new entrance side, from Korno / Pyrga to Limassol.
Works on the Nicosia-Limassol highway will be carried out in the section from the height of the roundabout GSP. to the height of the exit to the Alhambra, in the period 28/9/2021 - 28/10/2021, except Friday, Saturday and Sunday, between the hours 09:00 - 14:00, for replacement of street lighting in both directions of the highway . During the works, in each direction, the right-hand lane will close at a distance of about two kilometres and the traffic will be diverted to the other lanes. Also on the Nicosia-Limassol highway, from the GSP junction. until the exit of Agia Varvara, from 11/10/2021 and for a period of about a month, between the hours of 21:00 in the evening until 06:00 in the morning of the next day, daily Monday to Thursday, replacement and installation works will be carried out new anti-glare system. During the works, the right lane of the highway will be partially closed in both directions. With the completion of the works to Agia Varvara, the same process will begin in the right lane from Agia Varvara to the GSP junction. Also on the Nicosia-Limassol highway, in the direction of Nicosia, on Saturday, October 16, 2021 and for a period of about two (2) months, at the Kornos Junction, works will be carried out to improve the existing exit from Limassol to Kornos. During the works, the left lane before the exit of Kornos to the highway in the direction of Nicosia will be closed for about 400m. about and the traffic to Nicosia will be diverted to the right lane. On the Limassol-Paphos highway, in sections from Pissouri to Agia Varvara, in the period 18/10/2021 - 29/10/2021, between the hours 08:30 - 18:00, watering works of the central flower garden will be carried out islet by the Department of Forests. In both cases, the right lane will be closed for a length of about 1.5 km. - About 2km each time and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. On the Larnaca-Paralimni Airport highway, in the period 21/10/2021 - 31/10/2021, every day and Saturday, except Sundays and public holidays, between the hours of 08:00 - 15:30, network development works will be carried out by a private telecommunications company . During the works, one traffic lane will be partially closed (1.5km per time) in the direction from the Rizoelia roundabout to the exit to Ormidia, with a total length of 24km. and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane. On the bypass road of Limassol, in the period 18/10/2021 - 28/10/2021, except Fridays and weekends, between the hours of 22:00 - 06:00, will be carried out works of placing reflective nails on the road. During the works, one lane will be partially closed in one direction only, at any time and the traffic will be channelled to the adjacent lane.
