Please note there is a fire in the Kamares area [south of the Zelemenos area according to information supplied]. The Tala fire-fighters are on site and the Paphos fire engines are on their way.

Dense black fumes cover from 4.00 in the afternoon a large part of the western low area of Paphos, due to a fire that broke out in a rural area of Kissonerga.
The fire due to the dense vegetation has taken on great dimensions, causing concern at the sight of dense smoke from a great distance, as well as the strong smell that is felt almost throughout the low area between Paphos and Kissonerga, as well as further north, towards Tala.
A leased helicopter and two aircraft of the Department of Forests were also activated for response.
Strong winds blow in the area. Firefighting forces are trying to protect scattered dwellings located in the area.

A fire has broken out near the village of Tala, in Paphos, and firefighters are trying to protect homes scattered in the area, the fire service said on Friday.
The fire broke out at around 3.50pm near a residential area.
Fanned by strong winds, the fire is burning dry grass, wild vegetation, and trees, fire service spokesman Andreas Kettis said.
The service and the forestry department responded by sending four fire engines to the area together with three aircraft – one helicopters and two airplanes.
