Regarding the procedure that is underway for the administration of the 3rd dose to the population groups determined by the Council of Ministers, 2,793 people were vaccinated until yesterday, the Ministry of Health says.
Specifically, 1,752 people living in nursing homes, 510 health professionals in hospitals of the CySEC and 531 people belonging to the vulnerable groups who have priority for vaccination were vaccinated with the 3rd dose.
Transplanted people, people with immunodeficiency and HIV/AIDS, oncology patients have already been informed and are being vaccinated, while telephone communication with oncology patients and people receiving biological agents continues.
As far as health professionals are concerned, vaccinations have begun in the hospitals of the CySEC. In collaboration with the various Associations of health professionals, the first lists of interested parties have already been given and their vaccination will begin from next week, by specialty, in Vaccination Centres.
Within the next few days, the Ministry of Health will be able to announce more details on the initiation of the process of administering the 3rd dose to people 65 years and older.
The Ministry is working on the details for the utilization of the free-attendance vaccination centres.
