An event, on the occasion of the World Animal Day, is organized by the Party for Animals after consultation with the Metropolitan bishop of Limassol, Mr. Athanasios. The event will take place on the 3rd of October at 16:00 in the afternoon in the courtyard of the church of Panagia Pantanassa (or Catholic) in Limassol.
As stated in the party's announcement, the purpose of the event, which may be being held for the first time in Cyprus, apart from the fact that it is a reminder of the importance and important role of animals in our lives, is also the blessing of all animals that are suffering on the planet and those that need our help. His All-Holiness Metropolitan Athanasios, after a brief reference to excerpts from the Bible concerning animals and a short prayer, will give his blessing to your beloved animals.
At the same time, the party invites the public to attend the event along with their pets, whether they are cats, dogs, birds, lizards, spiders, hamsters, fish (but be properly in water). During the event, all protocols related to COVID19 will be implemented.
Finally, the party reminds that the public should be in possession of gloves, sachets, or whatever else is needed, in order to collect anything that your pet may leave behind.
NOTE - The Annual Blessing of Animals on the feast of St Francis, will take place in the grounds of Agia Kyriaki Church in Paphos - Monday 4 October at 4pm
