Even closer to the implementation of the strategic goal for the transformation of the city into Smart and Digital is the Municipality of Pafos.
With the submission of tenders, the Tender for the supply, installation, operation and maintenance of an integrated system of smart water resources management and water metering was completed and now the Municipality of Pafos is proceeding with the evaluation and award of the tenders submitted. The project's pre-estimate of cost is a total amount of €11million and the duration of implementation is 36 months.
The new system will effectively contribute to reducing loss, improving quality and providing equal water availability. It will include, among others, the implementation of a leak prevention and detection system, the installation of 27,000 high-precision and automatic metering water meters, the implementation of a monitoring, control and full automation system of the water supply network and the implementation of an automatic chlorination system.
