The Municipality of Pafos, supporting and promoting the work of the Charity Association for the Support of People with Dementia "Ithaca", illuminates tomorrow night, from 7.00 p.m., until 10.00 p.m., the Municipal Hall in purple colour.
The event is held on the occasion of World Alzheimer's Day, which is celebrated every year on September 21st in order to raise public awareness of the disease.
Alzheimer's disease is characterized by the progressive impairment of mental functionaries and is the most common form of dementia. Unfortunately, the disease affects more and more people as the years go by, creating a major medical and social problem that is of great concern to modern societies.
