LIMASSOL WINE FESTIVAL - Update

Safe Pass and use of masks are provided in the special arrangements of the Municipality of Limassol, for the organization of the 60th Wine Festival, which will take place from 9 to 16 October, in the public garden.

Following last night's decision of the city council to hold the Wine Festival, on the basis of guidelines from the Ministry of Health, the Limassol Municipality announced today the protocol that will apply.

Specifically, as mentioned, the celebration will take place from 9 to 16 October 2021, with the opening and closing ceremonies on the respective days, while the entrance will be allowed with the presentation of a Safe Pass and the use of a protective face mask will be mandatory for all persons over 12 years of age, who will move in the public garden.

Only bottled wine from winery kiosks will be sold in the area at special prices, cartoon and photography exhibitions on wine will be organized, lectures at the Pattichion Municipal Historical Archive – Museum and events on wine in two wine villages, on 10 and 17 October.

Also, performances will take place at the Municipal Garden Theatre "Marios Tokas", where the measures for the possibility of attendance of more than 350 spectators will apply, which at this stage require entry only for vaccinated people, while in the area of the public garden there will be five large restaurants, the operation of which will be governed by the regulations and the current decrees.

The entrance fee for adults will be €5 and for people from 12 to 18 years old €3.

Details of the events of the Wine Festival will be announced later this week.
