Filenews 22 September 2021
The Blood Center informs the public that in recent days there have been very high blood needs. This is largely attributed to the processing of a large number of surgeries, which were postponed during the restrictive measures to control the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Blood Center of the Ministry of Health is launching a major campaign to meet the very increased needs, with the ultimate goal of ensuring sufficient quantities of blood derivatives that have the required quality and safety. Serving the transfusion needs of all patients is a challenge for all of us.
We call on our blood donors to respond to the blood centre's calls to win yet another battle against the pandemic.
Blood donation programs begin to normalize with small and steady steps. With the large blood donations of our camps, lyceums and technical schools scheduled soon, we hope to restore the mechanisms of planning and coordination of blood donations followed by the Blood Center in the recent past.
