The Deputy Ministry of Tourism proceeded with the 2nd call for the participation of additional hotel enterprises and tourist accommodation, in the framework of the Domestic Tourism Support Plan, the duration of which was extended until November 30, 2021.
An announcement of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism states that tourist accommodation (Hotels, Organized Apartments, Tourist Villages, Agrotourism Accommodation) may participate in the Scheme, which may offer for the period from September 1, 2021 until November 30, 2021 a maximum price of €60 (including VAT) for a double room, with breakfast, per day, with a minimum stay of 2 nights. The Plan also provides for the coverage of 35% of the accommodation cost by the Deputy Ministry.
Businesses can submit a relevant declaration, which is posted on the website of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism www.tourism.gov.cy (column Announcements). The deadline for the submission of a participation in the Scheme is Monday, August 30, at 11.00.
Interested parties are invited to submit their registration form within the above period, provided that late applications will not be accepted.
Beneficiaries of the Scheme for the period from September 1, 2021 to November 30, 2021 are all permanent residents on the island, who have been vaccinated with at least one dose.For people under 16 years of age, who have not been vaccinated, they should ensure proof of a negative rapid antigen detection test for the COVID-19 disease, with sampling taken within 72 hours.
Beneficiaries are also all those who have recovered from the virus up to 180 days before their stay in the accommodation.
It is noted that for the above, beneficiaries must provide, in printed form, the relevant proofs upon arrival at the accommodation of their choice.
