The consortium Deloitte Ltd and Triton Consulting Engineers S.A. were instructed by the Ministry of Tourism to carry out a comprehensive sustainability study for the combined development of Marina and infrastructure for the reception of cruise yachts in the area of Kissonerga Paphos.
The signatures of the contract between the two fell yesterday Wednesday, August 4th.
The marina decided in 2006 to be built at the Potima site of Kissonerga, on the coastal avenue of Coral Bay, and is now characterized by all the operators of Paphos as ''the most typical example of a project that while everyone talks about the need to promote major development projects, which will give impetus to the economic, commercial and tourist development of the place and at the same time will contribute positively in the field of employment , however, its implementation remains unduly stagnant''.
Taking a "dip in time", until we reach the latest developments with the new judicial involvement in the proceedings, we read in the relevant notice that the project included the design, construction, financing, operation for 90 years and then its transfer to the Republic of Cyprus. Paphos Marina will have a capacity of about 1,000 boats and will include more than 42,000 sq.m. of residential and commercial development.
