On Friday, August 20, 2021, a joint Search and Rescue exercise between Cyprus and Greece was held under the name "SALAMIS - 04/21".
The exercise took place within the E-D area of responsibility of the Republic of Cyprus, with the participation of the Greek frigate "SALAMIS", a helicopter of the 460 Search and Rescue Squadron of the National Guard, as well as specialized nurses of the Ambulance Service of the State Health Services Organization.
This exercise, coordinated by the Larnaca Search and Rescue Coordination Center, in cooperation with the Hellenic Navy General Staff, is the 4th planned search and rescue activity in 2021 and is part of the existing Interstate Agreement between Cyprus and Greece.
