The area of Agios Antonios was transformed into a battlefield on Thursday evening due to incidents between AEL and Apollo fans. A vehicle was engulfed in flames and others were damaged by rocks and flares. Police are searching for the perpetrators of the incidents.
According to police information, there had been a petrol attack on vehicles carrying AEL fans, near the apollo fans' association building.
A few hours later fans of the two groups gathered in the area and began throwing stones and flares, with the police mobilizing.
A car was completely destroyed when it was set on fire, while others were damaged by stones and flares. Fires were also set in trash cans, while a flare that ended up on a roof of a house was extinguished in time.
