A fire broke out at noon on Saturday in dry grass and wild vegetation near the community of Skouli in the Pafos district.
According to the spokesman of the Fire Brigade, Andreas Kettis, three fire trucks from stations in the Paphos province responded as well as vehicles from the Department of Forests and the Game Fund.
Two leased helicopters and three aircraft of the Department of Forests were also activated.
