FIRE IN NORTHERN GREECE - EXTENSIVE - includes pictures from the fire at Varibobi

More than 30,000 burned acres and 80 burned houses are the first account of the great fire that is still raging in Northern Greece.

Cars and businesses were also engulfed in flames - estates in Varibobi with the destruction incalculable.

An evacuation order has already been issued in ten villages while air strikes continue. The Russian Fire Fighter Aircraft Beriev-200 has also been brought into the firefighting battle.

Residents in Varibobi are measuring their wounds from yesterday's huge fire, which burned houses and cars in its wake.

Today finds residents in Varibobi Square and the surrounding streets recording the magnitude of the disaster, while firefighters are at the scene for any resurgence.  They're also operating from the air, flying in.

At the junction of Chalkidos and Chloe Street, the fire burned pine-covered land and houses, while some thanks to the self-sacrifice of firefighters and volunteers were saved.

The images seen by the residents in the first light of day from the front of Varibobi are shocking, which capture the enormous destruction left behind by the fire.

Where a few hours ago there was a dense pine forest, now all one sees is ash, dead cattle, and property destroyed.

At the same time, around the internet, he makes videos taken from inside a fire truck while the flames surround it.

Unfortunately among the photos of the SOOC agency there were some unfortunate animals that were trapped and left their last breath surrendered to the fire.

However, fortunately during the night the transport of the horses, which were in danger in the Fire of Varibobi, was successfully completed.

As the director of the Hellenic Equestrian Federation, Lillian Didi, told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, there are now about 250 horses in Markopoulos

About the five horses that were missing, they were eventually found and are already on the spot in charge of the Federation to collect them.

Finally, the images of the houses ravaged by the fire are shocking.
