The Ministry of Finance, consistent with the timetable set by the Government, and with a view to providing the fastest possible compensation and support to our compatriots affected by the recent fires, proceeds today, August 24, to the second payment of compensation to the beneficiaries of State Aid.
In particular, the following are credited to the bank accounts:
- 640 beneficiaries, amounting to €3,564,430.80 as advance payment of housing assistance.
- 481 beneficiaries, amounting to €1,464,381.87 as compensation for household effects.
- 620 beneficiaries, an amount of €1,682,000 in return for a grant to businesses.
Thus, the total amount currently paid amounts to €6,710,812.67 .
Already, within just 5 days of the launch of the platform for State Assistance in the fire-stricken areas (arogi.gov.gr), a total of €10,452,132.98 have been allocated to the first 1,742 citizens (TIN units) who submitted their applications.
Beneficiaries will see the credit in the accounts they have declared on Taxisnet by the evening, depending on the credit flows of each bank.
The processing of applications and the data submitted continues and the next payment will be made, as announced, on Friday.
The deadline for applications is 30 September 2021.
The Government and the Ministry of Finance have set as a priority the immediate and brave support of the affected areas with the aim of their fastest and most effective reconstruction. In this context, we are intensively activating the procedures for the direct promotion of state aid measures to natural and legal persons for the rehabilitation of homes, businesses, agricultural holdings and other affected assets.
