A yellow warning has been issued by the Cyprus Meteorological Service for high temperatures.
Specifically, the maximum temperature, in areas of the interior, will range around 40 degrees Celsius. The warning will take effect at 1pm on Friday until 5pm on Friday.

Seasonal low pressure affects the area.
Friday, the weather will be mostly atrium but later there will be transiently increased clouds in the mountains. Winds will blow southwest to northwest and in the morning, to the south and east, to southeast, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort to become after noon moderate and locally until strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will gradually become a little turbulent. The temperature will rise around 40 degrees inland, around 34 degrees in the south, east and north coasts, around 31 on the west coast and around 30 degrees in the higher mountains.
Friday evening, the weather will be mostly atrium but during the dawn hours mainly expected locally, mainly on the coast, to form sparse fog and low cloud. Winds will initially blow southwest as northwest, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort to later become northwest as northeast and locally variable, weak, 3 Beaufort. The sea will become calm until a little turbulent, on the south and east coasts but will remain a little turbulent, on the west and north coasts.
At the weekend, the weather will be mostly atrium but during the midday and afternoon hours there will be locally increased clouds, which are not excluded to give isolated rain, in the mountains.
On Monday, the weather will be mostly atrium.
The temperature will not change significantly over the three-day period, to range slightly above average climatic values.
