With the high temperatures having become a daily occurrence, a new scene has prevailed in the last few hours in the coastal areas of Cyprus, since there is heavy fog.
In communication with the Senior Meteorological Officer, Philip Tymvio, he told us that this phenomenon is moisture of the sea which is transported through the air on land. He also noted that the same scene will continue in the coming days due to high humidity levels and low winds in the evening.
Asked whether temperatures beyond 40 degrees would continue over the next few days, Mr. Tymvios noted that they would prevail until Saturday, with the temperature dropping to just 37 degrees Celsius which will again be above average climate values for the season.
