On the Paralimni-Larnaca Airport motorway, during the period 28/6/2021–08/07/2021,between the hours of 08:30–15:00, daily except Friday and weekend, the Department of Forests will carry out green watering work on the central islet of the road. During the above period, it will be partially closed at a length of 1.5 km. approximately the right lane of traffic, from the roundabout of Rizoellia to the 3rd exit of Xylophagos and traffic will be channelled to the adjacent lane of traffic.
On the Nicosia-Limassol motorway, from Wednesday 14 April, 2021 work will be carried out to improve the Kornos junction. The work will take 15months and concerns on the one hand the improvement of the existing branches of the junction on the west side of the motorway, for entry to the motorway from Korno/Pyrga to Nicosia and for exit from Limassol to Korno/Pyrga, and on the other hand the creation of a new entrance on the east side, from Korno/Pyrga to Limassol.
On the Limassol-Paphos motorway, from Monday 5 July 2021 to Friday 9 July 2021,between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., at the roundabout of the motorway at the entrance of Paphos, horizontal road marking maintenance will be carried out. During the work, the roundabout lanes will be partially closed.
On the Limassol bypass road, during the period 1-7/7/2021 except Friday and weekend, from 22:00 to 06:00 in the morning of the next day, in the part of the bypass road between the roundabouts of Agios Athanasios and Germasogeia, towards Nicosia, work will be carried out on the maintenance of asphalt road. During the course of the work will be closed: the northern lanes of the bypass towards Nicosia between the roundabouts of Agios Athanasios and Germasogeia as well as the entrance to the bypass from the roundabout of Agios Athanasios to Nicosia. Traffic traffic from Paphos to Nicosia will take place via the roundabout of Agios Athanasios, Agios Athanasios Avenue and Kolonaki, Spyros Kyprianou in Germasogeia and the roundabout of Germasogeia.
On the bypass road of Germasogeia,work continues to improve the road. Between 8 March 2021 and 19 July 2021,part of Psara Street, at its junction with Agios Georgios Street, will be closed to traffic in both directions. During the work, traffic will be channelled through Agia Paraskevi and Isabella streets and similar roads.
In Nicosia, on Spyros Kyprianou Avenue, from its junction with Limassol Avenue to the Tseri roundabout, from Monday 14/6/2021 until Friday 18/8/2021,from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. the next morning, road repair work will be carried out. During the work the left lanes of traffic will be closed in sections about 1000m long, and traffic will be traffic through the limassol, Joseph Joseph and Constantinople avenues to Tseri Avenue.
On Spyros Kyprianou Avenue, at its junction with Strovolos Avenue (METRO), from Monday, 5/7/2021 until Friday, 9/7/2021 between the hours of 09:00–13:00, work will be carried out to clean kennels and the central islet at the uneven roundabout of the avenues. During the work there will be a mobile workshop and a cleaning machine (sweeper) in one lane (left or right) and traffic will be channelled into the adjacent lane (right or left) sequentially in both directions.
In Nicosia province, from Monday 19/4/21and for a period of 6 months, except Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, between the hours of 07:00–17:00, road repair work will be carried out on roads in various areas. During the execution of the work, one lane will be partially closed at a length of approximately 200 metres and traffic will be carried out in the other lane, using a "STOP & GO" sign.
On the old Nicosia-Limassol road, as part of the construction work of the Road Network of the Vasilikos Energy Centre, during the period 24/4/2021-23/10/2021,the eastern road connecting the old Nicosia-Limassol road with Vasilikos port will be closed to traffic. During the work, traffic to and from Vasilikos will be diverted to the corresponding western road, via Marie, except for vehicles and pedestrians moving to and from similar properties for which the appropriate arrangements will be made.
Also on the old Nicosia-Limassol road, during the period 27/05/2021-30/07/2021 daily outside weekends, between the hours 07:00-16:00, construction work will be carried out on water pipelines, by the Department of Water Development. During the work, part of one lane of traffic, the old Nicosia-Limassol road, from the 'Stavrovouni Reservoir' to the pumping station of the TAV in Kofinou, heading towards Kofinou, will be partially closed at a length of about 100 meters (total length of 650 meters, approximately) and traffic will be traffic in the next lane, using temporary traffic lights.
On the old Nicosia-Limassol road also, during the period 21/06/2021–13/08/2021 daily except weekends and public holidays, between the hours 07:00 – 16:00, construction work will be carried out on water pipelines by the Department of Water Development. During the work, part of one lane of the road, from the "Pig Tank" to the pumping station of the TY in Kofinou towards Kofinou, will be partially closed at a length of about 100 meters (total length of about 850 meters) and traffic will be traffic in the adjacent lane, using temporary traffic lights.
On a section of the old Limassol-Nicosia road, despite the Monastery junction, work continues on the construction/installation of a pipeline for the needs of the SALA, by a private company. The work will last until Friday 30/7/2021 and will take place from 7:00am. until 4:00pm, daily except Sundays and public holidays. During the work, the northern traffic lane towards Nicosia will be partially closed at a length of 120m. approximately, traffic will be diverted to the southbound lane and traffic will be managed with temporary traffic lights.
