ORANGE WEATHER WARNING FOR SUNDAY - remains above average till at least Wednesday

An orange warning for extremely high temperatures has been issued by the Weather Service.

The warning will take effect tomorrow Sunday, from 13:00 to 17:00.  Tomorrow the maximum temperature will rise to around 43 degrees inland and around 34 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight - The temperature will drop to 27 degrees inland, around 25 degrees in the south, east and north coasts, 23 on the west coast and 21 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tomorrow - The temperature will rise to around 43 degrees inland, around 37 on the south and east coasts, around 35 degrees on the west and north coasts and 34 degrees in the higher mountains.

On MondayTuesday and Wednesday the weather will remain mostly hot and warm.  The temperature will gradually rise slightly to range significantly above climate averages.
