GUIDELINES FOR PASSENGER TRANSPORT DRIVERS

The Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, on the basis of paragraph 2.13 of the Infectious Disease (Determination of Measures to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19) Decree (No. 28) of 2021 (C.I.P. 286/2021), adopts the following guidelines:

'In the interests of paragraph 2.48 of the Infectious Diseases Act (Determination of Measures to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19) Decree No. 28) of 2021, drivers of regular passenger buses with a fare per passenger, buses with an E-license – emergency services, buses used for Closed Door Services and taxi drivers, must, if they are working, driving or otherwise, own –

(a) a valid vaccination certificate for COVID-19 disease of the Republic of Cyprus showing that they have completed their vaccination regimen with any authorised vaccine and a period of 14 days has passed since the last dose was administered;

(b) proof of release in cases where they have been ill with COVID-19 disease and provided that no period of six months has passed since the date of sampling of their initial positive diagnosis, or

(c) negative laboratory or rapid antigen detection test for COVID-19 disease, with sampling carried out at least 72 hours prior to the time they are working'.
