 Filenews 21 July 2021

The Ministry of Health informs the public that the Council of Ministers has approved the issue of a European Digital COVID Certificate (EUDCC) for Cypriots and/or legal residents of the Republic who:

  1. have been vaccinated with a vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), or with Sputnik V, Sinopharm and Sinovac vaccines, in countries other than those of the Member States of the European Union, the Single Economic Area (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) or Switzerland.

  1. hold a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 and no period of 180 days has passed since the date of sampling of the positive diagnosis from countries other than those of the Member States of the European Union, the Single Economic Area (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) or Switzerland.

It is recalled that citizens who have been vaccinated or tested positive for the virus in a Member State of the European Union, in a State of the Single Economic Area (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) or in Switzerland, for the purpose of issuing a European Digital COVID Certificate, should apply to the authorities of the country where they were given the vaccination or where they have been diagnosed positive for the virus. In such a case, information material is available on the https://reopen.europa.eu website regarding the procedure established in each country for the issue of the European Digital CERTIFICATE COVID.
