The Fire Department and the Police were mobilised at around 01:45 following a fire that broke out in the old building of the Limassol District Court.
According to information from the police, the fire started from a warehouse used to store evidence. The scene was visited by the Manager and members of the Limassol T.E.C. and it was found that he was maliciously attacked.
CCTV found that the attackers placed a ladder outside the building, climbed after throwing an object with flammable material and resulting in fire.
As mentioned to us in the warehouse, evidence is kept in a drug case that is being heard in the Limassol Criminal Court.
According to statements made by the head of the Nicosia T.E.O., there is a possibility that the fire is related to a case that is ongoing in the Limassol Criminal Court.
Examinations continue while the scene is guarded.
