A fine of €1000 to the father for allowing his 11-year-old son to ride a four-wheel motorcycle yesterday in Ayia Napa was imposed by the Famagusta District Court.
According to Famagusta Police Directorate Spokesman Andreas Konstantinou, the father who allowed his 11-year-old son to ride a four-wheel motorcycle on Thursday in Ayia Napa, appeared today before the Famagusta District Court where he was fined €1000.
It is recalled that according to the police, members of the provincial Department of Wheeling stopped on a road in Famagusta province as a driver of a four-wheel motorcycle, aged only 11 years.
Specifically, around 3.30pm. yesterday, members of Famagusta traffic police, who were on a motor patrol, saw a four-wheeled motorcycle moving dangerously by making abrupt manoeuvres on a road in Ayia Napa. Officers stopped the motorcycle for testing to find that its driver was an 11-year-old boy. The 34-year-old father of the 11-year-old, who is in charge of the motorcycle, was also present at the scene.
Father and son were taken to Ayia Napa Police Station, where the 34-year-old was charged in writing and appeared before Famagusta District Court today for a hearing of the case.
