DO NOT ACCEPT CRUISE TOURISTS WITHOUT SAFEPASS

Clarifications on the control of persons who are not permanent residents of the Republic and who legally enter the Republic and visit the city of Limassol, is given by the Municipality of Limassol, after cases of visitors arriving by cruise ship in the city and are not admitted to shops and dining areas without Safepass.

The Limassol Municipality wishes to inform shopkeepers, restaurant owners and other interested parties that the decree of the Minister of Health dated 19 July 2021, on Infectious Disease (Determination of Measures to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19) Decree (No. 31) of 2021 which is in force from 20 July 2021 at 05.00 a.m. and expires on 31 July 2021 at 23.59 p.m. states that :

For areas where access under this Decree requires the production of either a negative laboratory or rapid antigen detection test, a vaccination certificate, recovery evidence for COVID19 disease, or the EU Digital Covid Certificate (EU Digital Covid Certificate), persons who are not permanently resident in the Republic and are legally entering the Republic :

(a) through Larnaca and Paphos airports they provide as proof the Cyprus Flight Card that they secure through their www.cyprusflightpass.gov.cy, and

(b) through the legal points of entry into the Republic by sea, in the case of cruise ship passengers, they shall provide the proof provided by the cruise ship as a disembarkation card and, in the case of passengers of pleasure craft, shall provide the proof provided by the Marina Manager to which they are docked, in compliance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works and the Ministry of Maritime Affairs.
