Seven other persons were identified by the Police in connection with the incidents that occurred on Sunday night in the complex "DIAS" and outside the Presidential Palace. A request for arrest warrants is expected to be made against them.
According to the Assistant Chief of Police, Dimitris Demetriou, an enhanced investigative team was appointed from the very first moment by the Nicosia POLICE, with the aim of fully investigating the evidence and bringing those responsible to justice.
Nine persons have been arrested to facilitate the interrogations, five of whom were brought before the Nicosia District Court today and a detention order was issued for four days against them. It is noted that the assessment of witness material for the identification of other persons continues. Photos of 19 other persons who appear to have participated in the incidents of the band "DIAS" have been released and so far seven persons have been identified against whom a request for warrants for their arrest is expected to be made.
The assistance of citizens is very important for the identification, identification and arrest of others. During the incidents, 12 members of the Force were injured, seven of whom were taken to hospital. All members received First Aid and were discharged.
