Four years after the most important moments of its modern history, its function as the European Capital of Culture, and while in the meantime nothing is reminiscent of those days of cultural uplift, the city of Paphos is now attempting a first step to regain the thread of culture from where "Paphos 2017" left it.
After a month-long delay, at today's plenary session of the Paphos Municipal Council, it is expected that the first Board of Directors of the Paphos Cultural Foundation under establishment will be appointed, which will essentially be the continuation of the European capital of culture body.
The Municipal Council of Paphos is now called upon to take decisions, since the rapid deterioration of cultural developments in Paphos, with the end of Paphos 2017, is a myth. That is why the pressure on all sides is intensifying to finally take practical measures to restore the cultural boom in the city through the Paphos Cultural Foundation.
