New problem for tourism brings the extra flight cancellations to many destinations, announced by TUI UK, until 21 July, including Cyprus
In a message, TUI United Kingdom states, inter alia:
"We want to offer our customers flexibility and options this summer, so where the border is open and FCDO's advice allows travel, we will operate in these destinations as planned (including the Greek islands, Rhodes, Kos, Zakynthos, Corfu and Crete). We constantly review the holiday schedule and cancellations according to government updates every three weeks, and the next update is expected on July 15."
As the company points out, it will contact all its customers as soon as possible if there is any change in their booking. Due to the ongoing uncertainty surrounding travel, TUI UK is also cancelling its flights until 21 July to other tourist destinations such as Aruba, Bulgaria, Cape Verde, Costa Rica, Croatia, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Italy, Jamaica, Spain – Mainland, La Palma, Mexico, Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey. TUI's trips to lakes and mountains are also cancelled.
In particular for Spain, TUI UK says the Spanish government has announced new conditions for entry into the country, especially for British arrivals in the Balearics and Canary Islands.
Specifically, from 1 July all visitors to the Balearics and Canary Islands should have been fully vaccinated (have also had the second dose of their vaccine at least 14 days before their travel date) or have a negative PCR test before their departure. Children aged 11 years and under are excluded from the PCR testing and vaccination requirements.
