Annual inflation in the euro area is expected to be 1.9% in June 2021, up from 2.0% in May, according to an estimate by Eurostat, the European Union's statistical office.
In Cyprus inflation is expected to be 2.2% in June 2021, up from 1.5% in May 2021 and -2.2% in June 2020.
Looking at the main components of inflation in the euro area, energy is expected to have the highest annual rate in June (12.5%, compared to 13.1% in May), followed by non-energy industrial goods (1.2%, compared to 0.7% in May), services (0.7%, compared to 1.1% in May) and food, alcohol and tobacco (0.6%, compared to 0.5% in May).
