Another dead and 60 new cases of COVID-19 disease were recorded on Tuesday.
This is a 66-year-old man who ended up in the Intensive Care Unit of Nicosia General Hospital. Therefore, the total number of deaths with the final cause of COVID-19 is 365, of which 243 men (67%) are women. and 122 women (33%).
The average age of the deceased from the disease is 78 years.
45 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 19 of whom are in serious condition.
A total of 38,435 disease detection tests have been carried out using the molecular method (PCR) and the antigen rapid test.
60 (positivity rate: 0.16%) new cases of COVID-19 disease have been identified by molecular tests (PCRs) and antigen rapid tests, bringing the total number of cases to 72,919.
17 out of a total of 25 positive rapid antigen detection tests were detected in Limassol province.
B. Hospitalized:
A total of 45 patients with COVID-19 disease are hospitalized in OKYY hospitals, 19 of whom are in serious condition or in MAF conditions.
Of the 19 patients in serious condition, nine are intubated, two are hospitalized in an Off-Respirator Intensive Care Unit and eight are in an Increased Care Unit.
B. Hospitalized:
A total of 45 patients with COVID-19 disease are hospitalized in OKYY hospitals, 19 of whom are in serious condition or in MAF conditions.
Of the 19 patients in serious condition, nine are intubated, two are hospitalized in an Off-Respirator Intensive Care Unit and eight are in an Increased Care Unit.

C. Positive events COVID-19 (PCR test and rapid antigen test):
Of the 38,435 diagnoses currently carried out, 5,029 were made using the molecular method (PCR) and 33,406 using the antigen rapid test, 60 cases of COVID-19 disease were identified, resulting as follows:
- 12 cases from 130 samples taken through the process of tracing contacts of already confirmed cases.
- 4 cases from 2,437 samples taken as part of a passenger check at Larnaca and Paphos Airports.
- 14 cases from 1,854 samples taken through a private initiative.
- 3 cases from 245 samples taken from the Microbiological Laboratories of the General Hospitals.
- 2 cases from 422 samples tested using the antigen rapid test in private clinical laboratories and pharmacies.
- 25 cases from 32,984 samples tested using the antigen rapid test.
In addition, the following tests were carried out, without the detection of a case:
- 360 samples taken as part of the referral programme by Personal Physicians and special teams control through the Public Health Clinics.
- 3 samples taken from the residents of Kato Pyrgos Tylliria.

26 cases in occupied
A total of twenty-six cases of coronavirus from 9155 laboratory tests were detected in the occupied areas in the last 24 hours.
According to a statement from the "Ministry of Health", two of the incidents were imported, seven were contacts and seventeen were domestic infections. Of the incidents detected in the community, eight were found in occupied Nicosia, four in Kyrenia and five in Famagusta.
The total number of cases in the occupied territories is 7458 (33 deaths).
