TO COMPLETE THE BYPASS ROAD - INDUSTRIAL AREA-GEROSKIPOU [Road works by MacDonalds - down to one lane, expect delays]

Another project of major importance for Paphos and the wider region is on track for a final phase of implementation. This is the Paphos-Geroskipou bypass road, from MacDonald's to the    Industrial Area of the Municipality of Paphos, with a total expenditure of €6.6 million. The amount of the aid was approximately €1 million.   Construction work is now also continuing on the north side of the Paphos Bypass, where one lane of traffic to MacDonald's has been closed.

The project includes the construction of a bridge at the point where the road crosses the late "Limnaria", dividing islet, bicycle path, green lane, paved sidewalks, underground networking of Utilities, installation of underground rainwater collection network, as well as installation of modern road lighting.

The road will be approximately 1.9 km long and 20 metres wide at the point that includes the bridge, with two lanes of traffic.
