THE MEASURES THAT COME INTO FORCE FROM 10 MAY

These are the measures decided tonight by the Ministerial and come into force from 10/05/2021 (06.00 a.m.) to 31/05/2021 (05.00 a.m.). As shown in the communication, they are divided into 3 phases, starting from 1st/May, new arrangements are introduced on the 17th of the month followed by new relaxes on 1 June.

  1. Prohibition between 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day except in the following cases:
  2. Go to and from workplaces, as well as for work purposes using the Employee Traffic Certificate Form;
  3. Go to a medical centre or hospital or pharmacy or veterinarian for medical emergencies;
  4. Remove a measure to send a text message to 8998 to move
  5. Gatherings are allowed in public places (parks, squares, dams, excursion areas, beaches, pedestrian streets and marinas, etc.), as long as they do not exceed 10 people, including minor children.
  6. Up to 10 persons may be present in homes, including minor children.
  7. (a) The church and other forms of religious worship in religious places shall be performed with the necessary presentation of Coronapass and with a maximum number of 50 persons until 16 May 2021; (b) From 17 May 2021, the presence of believers with a maximum physical presence of 30% of the capacity of the place of religious worship, with the necessary presentation of Coronapass, (c) From 1 June 2021, the presence of believers with a maximum of 50% of the capacity of the place of religious worship, with the necessary presentation of Coronapass, is permitted.
  8. (a) Meals/dinners and any other events for weddings and christenings with a maximum number of 10 persons including minor children may be held until 16 May 2021, (b) From 17 May 2021, meals/dinners may be held ONLY outdoors, seated and up to 200 persons, with the necessary presentation of Coronapass. Cocktails are prohibited, (c) From 1 June 2021, meals/dinners may also be held indoors on the basis of the agreed timetable, with a required Coronapass presentation.
  9. Religious ceremonies (weddings, baptisms, funerals) with a maximum number of 10 persons are allowed until 16 May 2021. From 17 May 2021 a maximum of 200 persons, provided that the fullness of 30% is met within the place of worship, with the necessary presentation of Coronapass.
  10. The training continues normally with a physical presence, with the presentation of a mandatory weekly rapid test. High school, high school and second cycle students, on the 1st day of their presence, i.e. on 10 May 2021, must present a negative test with a validity of 72 hours.
  11. Visits to hospitals, clinics, medical and diagnostic centres are allowed, with the approval of the Executive Director of the Centre and with the presentation of a negative PCR test within 48 hours.
  12. All outdoor dining areas (restaurants, taverns, cafes, pubs, snack bars and bars, cafes and dining areas within shopping centres, canteens and/or sports groups, cultural groups, clubs, clubs, etc.) are allowed to operate on the basis of the current protocol. Patrons should be in possession of Coronapass. From 1 June 2021 indoor dining areas are also allowed to operate.
  13. Outdoor and closed theatres, amphitheatres, cinemas, and theatre rooms (a) with a maximum of 50 people are allowed until 17 May 2021, with the necessary presentation of Coronapass. (b) After 17 May 2021 occupancy of up to 30% indoors and 50% in open spaces. Necessary presentation with Coronapass. (c) From 1 June, occupancy is increased in enclosed spaces with a maximum of 50%, with the necessary presentation of coronapass
  14. The popular markets will operate with 50% occupancy and 1.5 meters between persons under protocol, without the presentation of Coronapass.
  15. The ban on mass events, demonstrations, parades, concerts, outdoor festivals, festivals in public or private places remains
  16. Closed shopping centres may be operated, subject to the presentation of Coronapass.
  17. The remaining retail trade, including super-stores and department stores, as well as large stores with respect to the measure of 1 person to 10 sq.m. of useful space, is permitted, with the production of Coronapass only in large super-stores and department stores.
  18. The beauty salons and salons are allowed to operate on the basis of the Protocol, without the presentation of Coronapass.
  19. Gyms, dance schools and other sports schools are allowed, as they were until 30 April 2021 with the necessary presentation of Coronapass to those who work out indoors.
  20. Gambling and betting businesses may operate, in compliance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and the National Betting Authority and subject to the conditions that the measure of one person per 10 sq.m. is respected, without sitting indoors. Table seats are allowed outdoors without the presentation of Coronapass.
  21. Casinos are suspended until 16 May 2021. Casinos are allowed to operate from 17 May 2021 with 30% occupancy and on the basis of the Agreed Protocol, with the necessary presentation of Coronapass. From 1 June 2021 the occupancy is 50%.
  22. Swimming pools may be operated for sports purposes and on the basis of the Protocol in force on 30 April 2021.
  23. Access to the beaches is allowed in accordance with the Protocol in force in the summer of 2020, without the presentation of Coronapass.
  24. Outdoor excursions, dams and zoos are allowed without the presentation of Coronapass.
  25. All group care facilities, as well as sports and social activities for children under 18 years of age, are permitted on the basis of the Protocol in force on 30 April 2021 (6+1). For extracurricular activities of closed spaces with a 72-hour test while open countries remain as is the obligation i.e. mandatory test on a weekly basis.
  26. The suspension of the operation of nightclubs, record shops, nightclubs and music and dance venues remains.
  27. The suspension of playgrounds, amusement parks and theme parks remains until May 16, 2021. From 17 May 2021 children's playgrounds, amusement parks and theme parks are allowed to operate on the basis of protocol and only outdoor spaces, without holding social events (children's birthdays, etc.).
  28. Suspension of conferences, trade fairs until 16 May 2021. From 17 May 2021 the above may be carried out, as long as the measure is respected 30% occupancy of the indoor venue of the conference, with a cocktail ban. From 1 June 2021 the occupancy is 50%. Participation in conferences is required to provide a corona pass. Visits to nursing homes, aged care units, centres for chronically ill people, shelters and hostels for vulnerable groups, hostels for the transitional accommodation of homeless people, day care centres, child protection structures, at the base of the Protocols and with the presentation of a corona passport are allowed.

29.  Suspension of the operation of the campgrounds.
30.  Hotels: Accommodation is allowed from 10 May 2021 with a required corona pass.

31.  Pre-election Gatherings : It is allowed provided that the completeness of the venue where the event will take place is respected and the attendees will be seated with the necessary presentation of Coronapass. Cocktails are forbidden. E.g.
  • In open theatre/amphitheatre up to 50% occupancy,
  • In closed theatre/amphitheatre up to 30% occupancy,
  • In clubs/dining areas outdoors seated
  • In houses a maximum of 10 persons including permanent permanent persons.

32. In Public Services: the compulsory teleworking measure as in force is extended until 16 May 2021. From 17 May 2021 compulsory distance work with the exception of Essential Services (ensuring, as far as possible, physical presence) with a maximum physical presence number of up to 50%

33.  In the two-person service undertakings ,the measure of simultaneous physical presence of 30% of their staff remains, with a maximum number of employees who can be physically present at 50 persons per professional premises and a minimum of 5 persons, until 16 May 2021. From 17 May 2021 the physical presence of up to 50% is allowed.

34,  For the final of the Cup i.e. 15 May 2021 the presence of spectators (15% completeness of the stadium to be selected) is allowed with the necessary presentation of Coronapass.
35. Surgical operations may be carried out with a bed occupancy cap of 80% excluding ICU beds in private hospitals which should have 60% occupied beds.

Coronapass conditions

- Negative test (pcr /rapid) within 72 hours

Vaccination at least with one dose and completion of a period of at least 3 weeks after vaccination

- Evidence of Covid within the last 6 months
