The safe-pass will be implemented for a transitional period of six to eight weeks, Deputy Digital Policy Minister Kyriakos Kokkinos said.
Speaking to The Third, Mr Kokkinos explained that the safe-pass will be replaced by the green-pass, which will have pan-European and cross-border validity.
In the first instance, and until the digitization of the safe-pass is estimated to be completed in eight to ten days, citizens should present: either a vaccination certificate, evidence that they have been sick with coronavirus, or have a negative test.
Kyriakos Kokkinos also said that according to the European Union's own estimates, the green-pass is expected to be ready, end of June to early July.
At the same time, he said that after the latest upgrade and changes, the Vaccination Portal is now running smoothly, and the gap of the previous days has been filled.
