Ready for use is the monodosic Russian vaccine against coronavirus, Sputnik Light, as it became known today, as it was approved by the Russian authorities.
"Sputnik Light is a fast and effective fighter against the pandemic. It helps to achieve a high level of protection, more quickly," the production company said in a statement.
In addition, the production company says this vaccine offers 80% protection against Covid infection, which "is higher even than that offered by two-dose vaccines".
In the other data released, 91.7% of people vaccinated with Sputnik Light showed antibodies that neutralize the virus on the 28th day after vaccination, while 100% of those vaccinated with pre-existing immunity increased their antibody levels more than 40 times, 10 days after vaccination.
