Pharmacists are more interested in providing rapid antigen testing services, due to the high demand of the public to carry out the test at their neighbourhood pharmacy, without spending more than a quarter.
As Filenews reported, the president of the Pharmaceutical Association, Eleni Piera Isseyek, more and more pharmacies are joining the list of providing this service to their customers, while at the same time orders for the supply of rapid tests are increased.
Yesterday, as he noted, there was a lack of intransigence in pharmacies carrying out rapid tests, due to the chaotic situation at sampling points.
With regard to the cost of providing sampling from the pharmacy, even though the cap is €20, prices range from €10 to €12 ,and there are also some pharmacies that provide the test at prices below €10.
Ms. Issejek recommended that people contact the pharmacy and ask if they provides the service in order to visit it.
