In view of the return and
attendance with physical presence of students in schools, on May 10, 2021,
and the requirement to undergo rapid antigen tests, the Ministry of
Education, Culture, Youth and Sports clarifies that:
According to the relevant
announcement of the Ministry of Health, dated April 24, 2021, exempt from the
rapid antigen tests requirement are:
- Teachers
who hold a valid
vaccination certificate against COVID-19 from the
Republic, have
completed their vaccination with any licensed vaccine and
14 days have
elapsed since the administration of their last dose, and
- Teachers
and students who have
been tested positive for the COVID-19 virus in the past 6 months.
In addition, the remote units
that will be operating from Friday, May 7 until Sunday, May 9 in schools for
the conduction of free rapid antigen tests for students and their guardians,
are announced.
It is noted that these units
are additional to all other units operating for the general population and
employees.
