The doses of COVID-19 vaccines ordered by The Personal Physicians so far are approaching 20,000, health insurance agency official Olga Pitsilidou said.
In response to a question on the subject, Ms Pitsilidou said that more than 250 Personal Physicians have registered their participation in the vaccination programme and ordered more than 10,000 doses of the vaccine in the first week of implementation of the measure.
This week, he added 9,550 doses have been ordered. Specifically, on Wednesday 58 orders were placed for 3,440 doses of vaccines, on Thursday 36 orders for 1,960 doses and on Friday 76 orders for 4,150 doses.
When asked when the doses ordered are delivered, he replied that the delivery of the doses takes place within two working days.
Please note that only AstraZeneca vaccine, which can be stored in a normal refrigerator, is sent to Personal Physicians for administration.
