 Filenews 29 May 2021

Due to damage to a water pipeline, in Limassol province, the underpass of the road that connects Amathus Avenue with the Chapel, (opposite Elias Hotel) has been closed for traffic in both directions.

Therefore, in order to avoid any unnecessary inconvenience, drivers moving from Nicosia, to Amathontos Avenue, are invited to use the exits of Monastery and Agios Tychingos to reach their destination.

The exits of Monastery and Agios Tysysos are also requested to be used by drivers, who come from Limassol and wish to go to Amathontos Avenue, via the Limassol - Nicosia motorway.

Drivers moving from the Chapel to Amathus Avenue are invited to enter the Limassol – Nicosia motorway and, using the Monastery exit, to head to Limassol.

Conversely, drivers, who move from Amathus Avenue and wish to go to Chapel, are invited to enter the Nicosia – Limassol motorway and using the agios Tysos exit, to return to the Chapel exit.

Drivers are urged to be careful and comply with police instructions and traffic signals.

As regards work to repair the damage and open the road, these are expected to last until next Saturday 5 June 2021.
