A 37-year-old man with no history of vaccination is among the four dead announced by the health ministry this afternoon, while 676 were new cases in the last 24 hours.
The other three deaths involve a woman aged 75, with no history of vaccination, a man aged 68, with a history of vaccination and a man aged 63, with no history of vaccination.
The total number of deaths is 312.
275 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized, 70 of whom are in serious condition. The median age of the hospitalized is 58.6 years.
A total of 47,621 disease detection tests have been carried out using the molecular method (PCR) and the antigen rapid test.
676 (positivity rate: 1.42%) new cases of COVID-19 have been identified by molecular tests (PCRs) and antigen rapid tests, bringing the total number of cases to 65,909.
A. Deaths from COVID-19:
The four people who died with the final cause of death attributed to COVID-19 concern:
- Woman, aged 75, with no history of vaccination, who ended up in the Intensive Care Unit of Nicosia General Hospital.
- Male, aged 68, with a history of vaccination, who ended up in the Intensive Care Unit of Nicosia General Hospital.
- Male, aged 37, with no history of vaccination, who ended up in the Intensive Care Unit of Nicosia General Hospital.
- Male, aged 63, with no history of vaccination, who ended up in the Intensive Care Unit of Nicosia General Hospital.
Therefore, the total number of deaths with the final cause of COVID-19 is 312, of which 205 are men (66%), and 107 women (34%).
The average age of the deceased from the disease is 78 years.
B. Hospitalized:
A total of 275 patients with COVID-19 disease are hospitalized in THE HOSPITALS, 70 of whom are in serious condition or in MAF conditions.
Of the 70 patients critical, 32 are intubated, four are hospitalized in an Off-Respirator Intensive Care Unit and 34 are in an Increased Care Unit.

C. Positive events COVID-19 (PCR test and rapid antigen test):
Of the 47,621 diagnoses currently carried out, 6,976 were made using the molecular method (PCR) and 40,645 using the antigen rapid test, 676 cases of COVID-19 disease were identified, resulting as follows:
- 56 cases from 1,183 samples taken through the process of tracing contacts of already confirmed cases.
- 5 cases of 2,010 samples taken as part of a passenger check at Larnaca and Paphos Airports.
- 231 cases from 3,706 samples taken through a private initiative.
- 5 cases from 65 samples taken from the Microbiological Laboratories of the General Hospitals.
- 13 cases from 504 samples tested using the antigen rapid test in private clinical laboratories and pharmacies.
- 366 cases from 40,141 samples tested using the antigen rapid test.
In addition, the following tests were carried out, without the detection of a case:
- 12 samples taken as part of the referral program by Personal Physicians and special teams control through the Public Health Clinics.

Occupied: 43 incidents detected
Forty-three new cases of coronavirus were detected in the occupied territories.
According to a written statement by "Health Minister" Unal Ustel, 43 new cases were detected through 9750 tests carried out in the last 24 hours.
5 are imported, 8 are contacts of confirmed cases and 30 are domestic infections. Of the domestic infections, 14 were detected in Nicosia, 10 in Kyrenia, 2 in Famagusta, 4 in Morfos.
The total number of incidents is 6282.
