It's changing the vaccination plan, as the State Department is changing its vaccination plan. Health accelerates the program, since on the second day of availability of appointments, there is little response of the given age group. See below the new table with the plan until Sunday.
As stated by the Ministry, due to the need to accelerate the vaccination plan against COVID-19 with a view to greater shielding of the population as soon as possible, but also because, according to the data and experience from the previous openings of the Vaccination Portal, on the 2nd day of availability of appointments the response is minimal, it is announced that the Vaccination Portal for ages 49-50 will remain open today, April 21st, until 8 p.m. and not until April 22nd, at 8 p.m. as announced.
Therefore, all persons aged 49 and 50 who are interested in vaccination are invited to proceed within the day to arrange their appointment.
In addition, the schedule for arranging an appointment from Thursday, April 22nd, until Sunday, April 25th, is updated as follows:
Age - Priority Date at vaccination portal
47-48 - Thursday, April 22, from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
45-46 - Friday, April 23, from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
57-58 - Saturday, April 24, from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
59-60 - Sunday, April 25, from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Vaccinations for appointments to be arranged on the above dates will be carried out in Vaccination Centres operating in Cyprus, with the available licensed vaccines. It is also noted that at a later time it will be possible again for age groups that have had only one opportunity to schedule appointments to do so.
As of 20 April, a total of 219,654 vaccinations (25 doses per 100 inhabitants) were carried out, of which 161,389 (18.3%) were carried out. 1st dose and 58,265 (6.6%) administration of both doses.
