A very important infrastructure project that the province of Paphos needs and is required as approved and implemented without further delay, is the reconstruction of the coastal avenue of Kissonerga – Chlorakas up to the Gulf of Coral.
This is stated in an intervention by the provincial secretary of DISY Paphos, Linos Tsokkas, stressing that the road as it is today is unable to serve the increased needs of the area, while not providing the desired level of safety to road users, pedestrian cyclists and drivers.
"The immediate and substantial improvement of this road axis will contribute to the prevention and reduction of road accidents and will enhance traffic in the area," says Mr Tsokkas. "In a meeting I will have next week with the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, Mr. Giannis Karousos, I intend, among other issues, to raise the urgent need for immediate implementation of this project".
