A 72-year-old British pensioner has become famous on social media for photos of the huge vegetables he was uploading. Now fashion house Gucci has chosen him as the star of their new campaign.

Gucci fashion house Gucci Off The Grid's new collection includes recycled, organic and eco-friendly clothes, and 72-year-old Gerald Stratford and his huge carrots are the best person on the campaign trail.

Gucci's new eco-friendly clothes are made from ECONYL, a type of synthetic fabric produced from old fishing nets and carpets.

According to the ad campaign story, the British pensioner is leading a group of young people who left town and went to the 72-year-old's farm to teach them the secrets of growing vegetables.

Gerald has become known as "The Veg King," with his Twitter account launched in 2019 to chat with his gardening friends.

But his posts went viral and more than 280,000 people went viral. users follow its posts.

Being an expert in vegetable cultivation, the elderly man won several accolades for his production, including a second prize for three huge carrots he cultivated.

All this awareness became an occasion for the fashion house Gucci to choose him as the central figure in their campaign.
