The Department of Fisheries and Marine Research (TATH) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and the Environment informs interested parties that under the Infectious Diseases Act and the relevant Decree of 23 April 2021, the transition for recreational fishing purposes at sea (including recreational fishing from the coast) and dams as well as the movement between the provinces for this purpose is permitted.
The ministry of health's clarifying response is also relevant:
'Movement between the Provinces shall be permitted provided that the purpose for which the movement takes place falls within the points of the use of SMS which normally does not exceed three (3) hours, with specific reasonable exceptions such as movement for hunting and fishing purposes ...'.
It should be noted, however, that fishing is permitted only during the hours allowed to travel, persons must not exceed two, with the exception of minor children, and it is necessary to send an SMS message to 8998 (category 6). It is understood that all the conditions of the relevant decree and directives concerning measures to limit the spread of COVID – 19 are applicable.
In addition to the above, all the terms of the Fisheries Law and its Regulations apply.
