My 10 year old grandson and I have completed the 100km
virtual climb of MT. KILIMANJARO The total so far now takes our Mt. KILIMANJARO
virtual climb to over an AMAZING EU1300, way above my expectations. This
will pay for a day pass for 88 cancer patients…. FANTASTIC. THANKS SO
VERY VERY MUCH TO ALL OF YOU WHO KINDLY AGREED TO SPONSOR US.
Please will those of you in Cyprus let me have either cash or a
cheque payable to Cancer Patient’s Support Group.
However, I have also been very generously offered by Markos MY
Hair Salon and Eleanore’s Beauty Salon, in the same stylish salon, in Chloraka,
two free of charge full body massages a week for cancer patients and a hair
treatment and wash and shampoo, free of charge until the hotels reopen.
Markos has also very kindly offered to continue this as an option
even when the hotels reopen.
I have also been offered every week, a champagne (Cava) breakfast for two cancer patients and partners at the lovely Elysia Breeze restaurant, outdoors.
Finally Yesterday after a meeting with the 4 star most
peaceful, tranquil Ayii Anargyri Health Spa Resort, (which is able to
take customers living in Cyprus into their spa as it is a health spa,)
they have most generously offered to give half day passes to two different
cancer patients and their partners every week in their amazing spa. Care Days
may offer the 3 different health-giving sulphur baths, the relaxation
lounge overlooking a forest, and the outdoor pool once a week for the next 12
months, lockdown permitting!
The spa was founded in 1649, so has been using the sulphurated,
healing Spring waters for 372 years!
In total we can now offer a choice of Care Days options to around
300 cancer patients a year and have raised over Eu 20,000 of which an
incredible Eu 18,000 is in services offered to Cancer patients free of charge.
So, we are launching Care Days mid May, on Viva FM Radio, thanks
to your kind sponsorship and the most generous discounts and support offered by
Dave Asher of Viva FM Radio and hope to have our first patients enjoying Care
Days through Cancer Patient’s Support Group from the beginning of June.
I feel very humble at the response to Care Days.
Clearly some patients will have lost their hair, so I propose
offering patients the following four alternatives, once a week, subject to
confirmation and government restrictions, until hotels are fully operational
and offering day passes to Cypriots and residents.
1. Champagne
(Cava) breakfast for two cancer patients and partners at the lovely Elysia
Breeze restaurant, outdoors.
Or:
2. A
full body massage and hair treatment and shampoo at Markos MY Hair and
Eleanore’s Beauty Salon.
Or:
3. A
full body massage at Eleanore’s Beauty Salon at Markos MY Hair and Beauty
Salon.
Or:
4. A half day
pass for two cancer patients and their partners at the magnificent 4 star Ayii
Anargyri Health Spa comprising the use of their three natural sulphur spring
therapy pools, relaxation room overlooking a forest and outdoor pool.
My plan is to offer these weekly from June.
