Filenews 30 March 2021
It will close 31 March at 7 p.m. instead of April 1, as announced, the Vaccination Portal, for people with Diabetes Sugar and Severe Obesity, due to the low rate of appointment scheduling.
It is also noted that in the next period, access to the Portal will not be allowed for people in these two groups, and citizens will be able to make appointments again when their age group is in order.
In a statement, the Ministry of Health says that as part of the implementation of the National Vaccination Plan against COVID-19, in April attention is focused on vaccination coverage of people in groups at increased risk for serious disease.
In particular, the process of scheduling appointments through the Vaccination Portal for people with Type I Diabetes and Type II Diabetes Sugar treated with insulin, Diabetes Sugar and macrovascular and/or microvascular selects and with Severe Obesity is underway.
So far, about 7,200 appointments have been arranged out of a total of 19,246 available appointments. Due to the low rate of appointment arrangement and the need to proceed with the implementation of the National Vaccination Plan, the Vaccination Portal for people with Diabetes Sugar and Severe Obesity will be closed earlier than the originally announced date on March 31st, at 7 p.m.
In case a person has trouble registering a request for an appointment in the Software, they should contact their Personal Physician or their attending physician to ensure that they have been properly registered in the GHS Software.
It is clarified that after 31 March, the Vaccination Portal will be closed for the specific individuals who fall into the above vulnerable groups and patients who have not scheduled an appointment will be able to do so when the Portal is open for each person's age group. For example, if a person with Type I Diabetes mellitus is 30 years old and does not schedule an appointment for vaccination until 1 April, they will be able to do so when the 30-year-old age group has priority for vaccination.
Since vaccination can protect us from serious disease and prevent hospitalization and death, people in vulnerable groups who have priority for vaccination are encouraged to schedule their appointment as soon as possible.
