A total of 42 points for rapid test screening programs for the general population and workers will open on Monday.
In a statement the Ministry of Health says that free testing programmes are continuing with rapid antigen testing of the general population and workers, with a view to continuous surveillance of the community and workplaces.
As it notes, with a view to the smooth and safe operation of enterprises operating in accordance with the Decrees, employers in enterprises, as well as Heads of Departments/Services of the public and wider public sector have a responsibility to coordinate as employees undergo rapid testing, in order to ensure the mandatory weekly examination with rapid test of staff antigen as follows:
Enterprises/services employing up to 3 people, the audit should be carried out on all employees.
Enterprises/services employing between 4 and 10 persons should be checked on at least 4 employees.
Enterprises/services employing more than 11 people should be checked on at least 4 persons or 20% of employees, whichever is greater in number.
In addition, self-employed persons, as well as persons working as domestic helpers and/or responsible for the care of the elderly or disabled or persons who cannot self-serve, must participate through the programme.
It is recalled that all teachers and school staff are required to undergo a weekly rapid antigen test. The negative result certificate should be presented during the checks.
At the same time, according to the Decree, dated 2 March, from 8 March students aged 12 years and over are required to present a certificate of negative rapid test on a weekly basis. It is noted that mobile sampling units will be located in public and private Lyceums and Technical Schools, but staff and students can also be served at the various sampling points.
Therefore, workers may come to the sampling points operating in all Provinces, in accordance with the plan drawn up by the employer/head.

For Monday, March 15, sampling units will be located in Paphos at the following locations:
Town Hall Square, Paphos - 8.30 am.-5.30pm.
Former Prefect's House, Paphos (Griva Digeni Street) - 8.30 am.-5.30pm.
Apostolos Andreas Church, Polis Chrysochous - 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
Geroskipou Square (in front of the Post Office) - 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
