It has always been the most important and central green lung of the city of Paphos. Until at least a few years ago, when the Forest Park, on the northern exit of the city to Mesogi, actually smelled of green space.
Unfortunate interventions and abandonment, however, turned the other lung of Paphos into an abandoned park that no one visited and no one dealt with. Only change, its name in "EOKA Race Heroes Park 55-59", since there is the historic detention area of Evagoras Pallikarides.
Today, however, it seems that the time has come to become the "Dasoudi" again, as everyone knows it and mention it in Paphos, in an area of environmental and urban value for the Municipality of Paphos. The municipal authority proceeds to carry out a project that enriches the green of the city and enhances the quality of life of its residents. After the end of 2020 the tender was launched for the execution of maintenance and landscaping work in the Municipal Park, with an estimated cost of €195,000, plus VAT and a duration of work five months after the signing of the contract, today we move on to the next stage: The signing of the contract for landscaping and maintenance of the site.
The signing ceremony will take place at 12 noon today, on the park site.
