Developments are expected as regards the way in which EU citizens are examined for Covid-19, as, according to valid information from Brussels, self-testing is starting to enter the Community market.
As we are informed, the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) is expected to publish today technical guidance on COVID-19 self-testing, including details of their availability, clinical performance compared to RT-PCR tests under the 'golden rule', their impact on reporting and epidemiological surveillance, and the arrangements for their appropriate use.
