BACK TO THE NATURE TRAILS - MESSAGE FROM THE ENVIRONMENT MINISTER

 Filenews 1 March 2021

With six tips, Environment Commissioner Clelia Vassiliou welcomes the return from today to the Nature Trails.

In a written statement, Ms . Kingdom states:  "From today we go back to the Paths of Nature with message 6.  Enjoy them and enjoy them, not only because we have missed them, but because, especially this season, they have put on their best.

Nature is reborn. Fresh plants and wild flowers flood the landscape. This season is the breeding season for several species of fauna.

So six messages from us:

1. Let us not hurt Nature. Let's not leave behind anything but the footprint of our steps.

2. We collect our garbage, if we don't find a waste bin, we don't create waste.  We take it home with us.

3. Let's not cut wildflowers, let's not dig any more for mushrooms. (Already, the damage done is incalculable).

4. No BBQs or parties, or family picnics. Stay on the nature trail also.

5. Harassment is not tolerated for nature either.

6. All of the above are provided for out of court by environmental legislation, but it is not an end in it own right. The real cost is we all pay it together and it's heavier.
